WebStation:
The Schedule Trade Board page displays a listing of posted trade requests (open trades) and allows you to select schedules to trade.
Use the Schedule Trade Board page to:
Initiate a schedule trade
Browse the trade board
Accept a posted trade
For detailed information, see:
Log in to NICE WebStation.
Select WebStation > Schedules > My Trades, Schedule Trade Board, or Group Schedules on the navigation bar.
Click Trade a schedule from any of these pages to display the Trade your schedule page.
(Optional) To initiate a schedule trade from the My Schedule page:
Select WebStation > Schedules > My Schedule on the navigation bar.
Navigate to the scheduled date or dates you want to trade.
Click the Trade schedule icon for the day you want to trade or click Trade All to trade all days of the selected week. The system displays the Trade your schedule page.
If the MU WebStation trade rules allow partial day trades, select Trade the entire day or Trade part of the day and enter the start and end time of the partial day.
If you want a closed trade (agent-specific) and the MU WebStation trade rules allow it, select from a list of agents to target an agent. Otherwise, select Open trade to post a trade to the schedule trade board.
Click Continue.
If you selected a closed trade, identify the desired schedule, then:
Select one of these:
A different schedule on the same date.
If you request a partial day trade, enter the earliest start time and the latest stop time you want. (If the MU WebStation trade rules do not allow different schedule length trades, the system hides the stop time field.)
A different day off.
If you request a partial day trade, enter the earliest start time and the latest stop time you want. (If the MU WebStation trade rules do not allow different schedule length trades, the system hides the stop time field.)
Give the schedule away for nothing in return (if allowed by the MU WebStation trade rules).
(Optional) Enter a Comment with the schedule trade request (if allowed by the MU WebStation trade rules).
Click Send My Request. The target agent must approve the trade. (The system sends an alert to the target agent to notify that a closed trade is pending approval.)
If you selected an open trade, identify the desired schedule, then:
Select one or more of these:
A different start time on the same day.
Enter your preferred range of start times or select the Any time checkbox.
Select at least one of the checkboxes for a longer, the same length, or shorter schedule (if allowed by the MU WebStation trade rules).
A different day off.
Select the day or days you would work.
Enter your preferred range of start times or select the Any time checkbox.
Select at least one of the checkboxes for a longer, the same length, or shorter schedule (if allowed by the MU WebStation trade rules).
Give the schedule away for nothing in return (if allowed by the MU WebStation trade rules).
(Optional) Enter a Comment with the schedule trade request (if allowed by the MU WebStation trade rules).
Click Send My Request to add the trade to the schedule trade board. When another agent selects your trade, the system validates and processes it as defined by the MU WebStation trade rules.
Select WebStation > Schedules > Schedule Trade Board on the navigation bar.
Select the sort option from the Sort by drop-down list.
If the MU WebStation trade rules allow you to see all trade requests, select Hide Schedules I Can't Trade to remove the ineligible trades. Otherwise, click the invalid trade icon in the first column to see why a trade is invalid.
Click Details to view your current schedule, what you would receive as a result of the trade, and additional trade information.
Click Trade rules to see the trade rules defined for the MU.
Select WebStation > Schedules > Schedule Trade Board on the navigation bar.
Select the checkbox next to a trade.
Click Trade.
Verify the trade information and enter give away time if required.
Click Confirm.
The system validates and processes the trade.
If the MU WebStation trade rules do not require agent or supervisor approval, the system applies the trade to each agent's schedule; otherwise the trade queues for agent or supervisor approval.
If you use the WebStation Schedule Trades feature, and you have permission to trade schedules, the NICE WebStation > Schedules > Schedule Trade Board menu item is available on the navigation bar. The Schedule Trade Board page allows you to view the open trade requests for your MU. The list of open trade requests depends on the schedule trade configuration a supervisor defined for your MU. You can also enter a schedule trade request from the Schedule Trade Board page. For more information on entering trade requests, see My Trades.
If a schedule trade requires approval, a supervisor needs to approve the schedule trade request before the system validates and completes the trade. If a schedule trade does not require supervisor approval, then after you request and approve (if applicable) the trade and the accepting agent approves the trade, the system validates and completes the trade. Once a schedule trade request is complete, the system notifies each of the agents involved.
Supervisors can configure your MU to enforce certain work rules. For more information, see Work Rule Validations.
The Schedule Trade Board page allows you to view the posted trade requests (open trades), including information about the schedules offered and the schedules requested in exchange.
Figure 29 Schedule Trade Board Page
The list of posted trade requests displayed on the Schedule Trade Board page depends on the configuration a supervisor defined for your MU (see Schedule Trade Requests Displayed on Schedule Trade Board Page).
Initially, the Schedule Trade Board page displays the open schedule trade requests for the current week, according to your MU’s schedule trade configuration (WEEKLY tab). If you want to view all posted trades, click ALL. If you want to view the posted trades for a specific day, week, or month, click DAILY, WEEKLY, or MONTHLY, or select a day, week, or month on the calendar to filter the trade requests. For more information on the different views, see Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and All Views of Posted Trades. You can also enter a schedule trade request from this page.
Refer to these topics:
Supervisors can control the types of schedule trade requests that are visible on the Schedule Trade Board page. Specifically, they can configure your MU to only allow you to see the schedule trade requests for which you are eligible. This includes validating your trade requests against certain work rules. For more information, see Work Rule Validations. A supervisor can also control the display of the names and agent data values of the posting agents.
If your MU’s configuration allows trades across MUs, and if an agent posting a schedule trade request belongs to a different MU than you, the system adjusts the schedule times (if necessary) to account for any time zone differences. Schedule start times display in your time zone. For example, if the time zone of the posting agent's MU is EST, and your MU's time zone is CST, then if the posting agent's schedule begins at 10:00 AM, you see the displayed schedule beginning at 9:00 AM.
Click Trade a schedule to enter a schedule trade request. For details on entering a schedule trade request, see Initiating Schedule Trades.
The Schedule Trade Board page initially sorts the trade requests by the POSTED SCHEDULE column. To change the sort order of the trade requests on the Schedule Trade Board page, select one of these options:
Posted schedule
Sort by the posted schedule date and start time.
Requested schedule
Sort by the requested schedule date and the earliest start time. The system sorts starting anytime requested schedules at the top and OFF requested schedules at the bottom for a date.
Primary activity
Sort by the base schedule code description.
Schedule start
Sort by the posted schedule's start time.
Schedule end
Sort by the posted schedule's end time.
Schedule length
Sort by the posted schedule's length.
Agent ID
Sort by the agent ID of the posting agent. This option is only available if a supervisor configured your MU to show the posting agent’s name on the Schedule Trade Board page.
Agent name
Sort by the agent name of the posting agent. This option is only available if a supervisor configured your MU to show the posting agent’s name on the Schedule Trade Board page.
MU
Sort by the MU ID of the posting agent’s MU. This option is only available if a supervisor configured your MU to allow trades with other MUs.
If your MU’s configuration allows you to see all posted trade requests, tradable and non-tradable, the Hide Schedules I Can't Trade option is available above the trade board table. If you select the Hide Schedules I Can't Trade option, or if your MU’s configuration does not allow you to see non-tradable trade requests, the Schedule Trade Board page displays only the valid trade requests (based on the rules defined by a supervisor). For more information on the trade rules, see Trade Rules.
If you clear the Hide Schedules I Can't Trade option, the Schedule Trade Board page displays all schedule trade requests posted by agents in your MU and agents in MUs allowed to trade across MUs (if your MU’s configuration also allows trading across MUs). This includes trades where multiple agents can accept the posted trade and the trade status is pending posting agent approval or denied by the posting agent. The schedules on the Schedule Trade Board page could also include invalid schedule trade requests that you are not eligible to accept, such as your own posted trade requests. See Select a Trade or Invalid Trades for invalid trade information.
This section describes the columns available on the Schedule Trade Board page. Each schedule trade request is in one row.
Note
If your schedule changes and a trade on the trade board that wasn’t valid becomes tradable while you are on the Schedule Trade Board page, you need to refresh the Schedule Trade Board page to see the change.
Refer to these topics:
The first column in the trade board table contains a checkbox on each row with a schedule you can trade (accept). The checkboxes default to cleared. Select the checkbox next to the trades you want to accept on the trade board. Click Trade to accept and confirm the selected trade requests. For more details on accepting trades, see Accepting the Selected Schedules for Trading (Trade Button).
If you are viewing all posted trade requests (the Hide Schedules I Can't Trade option is not selected), the first column displays the invalid trade icon () instead of the checkbox on each row with an invalid trade. When you position your cursor over the invalid trade icon, a tooltip displays the text Why can't I trade this schedule?. Click the icon to display the Invalid Trade window.
Figure 30 Invalid Trade Window
The Invalid Trade window displays the agent information, posted schedule, and requested schedule for the trade from the schedule trade board (see Agent Information, Posted Schedule, and Requested Schedule). This window also displays the reasons you cannot trade the schedule. Click Close to close the window and return to the trade board.
Click Details in the DETAILS column for any schedule trade request to open the Trade Details window containing details of the trade request. For more information on the Trade Details window, see Trade Details Window.
The AGENT INFORMATION column displays information about the agent who posted the schedule trade request:
Agent ID and name
The ID and name of the posting agent. This field only appears if a supervisor configured your MU to allow the trade board to display the posting agent’s name.
MU
The name of the posting agent’s MU. This field only appears if a supervisor configured your MU to allow trades across MUs.
<agent data group>
These field labels are the names of the agent data groups a supervisor selected to display for the posting agent’s MU. These fields display the agent data group values assigned to the posting agent for the agent data groups. If a supervisor did not configure the posting agent’s MU to display agent data group values, the agent data group fields do not appear.
The AGENT INFORMATION column only appears if there is information to display, based on the MU configurations.
The POSTED SCHEDULE column displays information, based on the posting agent's most current schedule, about the date the posting agent is trading:
day of week and date, in bold text
start and end times of the trade request
icon and description of the schedule's base code
schedule trade request length, in parentheses (HH:MM format)
When you position your cursor over the posted schedule, a tooltip displays the posted schedule’s lunch start time and length, in parentheses. The tooltip only appears if the posted schedule has a lunch activity.
If the posting agent’s schedule is not tradable, the POSTED SCHEDULE column does not display the posting agent’s schedule information. Instead this column displays a message, in red text, that the schedule cannot be traded.
The REQUESTED SCHEDULE column displays information about the date the posting agent is willing to work in exchange for the posted schedule:
day of week and date, in bold text
start time range, which can be:
a specific start time
a start time range
OFF (for give-away schedules)
starting anytime
schedule length, in parentheses (HH:MM format), which can be:
any length
<posted schedule length> or shorter (for example, 08:00 or shorter)
<posted schedule length> or longer (for example, 07:30 or longer)
<posted schedule length> (for example, 08:00)
shorter than <posted schedule length> (for example, shorter than 08:00)
longer than <posted schedule length> (for example, longer than 10:00)
longer or shorter than <posted schedule length> (for example, longer or shorter than 08:00)
If you click Details in the DETAILS column of the Schedule Trade Board page, the Trade Details window displays details of your current schedule and the schedule trade request information.
Figure 31 Trade Details Window
If you are the posting agent, the Schedule Trade Board - Trade Details window for your trade request contains information as described for the My Trades Detail window, Trade Details for Posted On The Trade Board and Canceled Trade Requests.
Refer to these topics:
The My current schedule section displays the details of your schedule for the date in the REQUESTED SCHEDULE column on the Schedule Trade Board page. The day of the week and the date of the schedule appear above the schedule details. The schedule details include the icon and description of the schedule’s base code and the total number of work hours (in bold text), and the icon and description of each activity on your schedule and the start and end times of the activity. If no schedule exists for the date, this section displays OFF.
This section displays your entire day’s schedule, even if the trade is a partial day trade.
If the requested schedule date is different from the posted schedule date, this section displays your schedule for both dates (with the earliest date first). For example, if an agent posted a schedule for March 7 and the agent wants to trade for a schedule on March 8, the My current schedule section displays your schedule for both March 7 and March 8.
If the base code on your schedule is not tradable, the My current schedule section displays a message, in red text, under the schedule details that the activity cannot be traded.
The What I would receive section displays the details of the posting agent's schedule for the date in the POSTED SCHEDULE column on the Schedule Trade Board page. The day of the week and the date of the schedule appear above the schedule details. The schedule details include the icon and description of the schedule’s base code and the total number of work hours (in bold text), and the icon and description of each activity on the schedule and the start and end times of the activity. If no schedule exists for the date, this section displays OFF.
If the trade is a partial day trade, this section displays only the portion of the posting agent’s schedule being traded.
If the posted schedule date is different from the requested schedule date, this section displays the posting agent’s schedule for both dates (with the earliest date first).
If the posting agent’s schedule is not tradable, the What I would receive section does not display the posting agent’s schedule details. Instead this section displays a message, in red text, that the schedule cannot be traded. The What I would receive section does not display the activities on the posting agent’s schedule that are not tradable.
The Additional trade information section displays additional details for the posted schedule trade request. This section contains:

<agent data group>
Click Close to close the Trade Details window. Clicking the close button ( ) in the top corner of the window also closes the Trade Details window.
You can view the posted schedule trade requests for different dates using the monthly calendar displayed on the Schedule Trade Board page. The date or dates selected on the calendar correspond to the schedule trade requests whose posted schedule falls on the selected date or dates. The days of the week begin with your MU’s start day of week. The selected date or date range on the calendar appears at the top of the Schedule Trade Board page. If you are viewing all trade requests, the top of the Schedule Trade Board page displays Viewing trades for all dates.
Use the calendar control to view posted schedule trade requests:
Click on a day on the calendar to view the posted schedule trade requests for that date.
Click the W at the beginning of any row on the calendar to view the posted schedule trade requests for the selected week.
Click the month link on the calendar to view the posted schedule trade requests for the month.
The Today is field, located just above the calendar, displays the current day and date. Click Today is to view the posted schedule trade requests for the current date.
Click the Left arrow or Right arrow next to the month and year above the calendar to view the calendar one month at a time, when viewing data in the Daily, Weekly, or Monthly views. The calendar highlights a date or date range in the previous or next month containing the same start date as the currently selected date or date range (if possible). If the start date of the previously selected date or date range does not exist in the newly displayed month, the calendar highlights the date or date range containing the last day of the newly displayed month instead. For example, if the calendar has August 31 highlighted when you click the Right arrow, the calendar highlights September 30, since September does not have 31 days. The Schedule Trade Board page displays the posted schedule trade request data for the selected date or date range in the newly displayed month.
Click the Left arrow or Right arrow next to the date field at the top of the Schedule Trade Board page to view schedule trade requests for the previous or next day, week, or month.
The calendar highlights the dates for which you are viewing schedule trade request data.
The calendar displays dates that are part of the previous or the following month as disabled color text.
If you click on a date that does not fall in the currently displayed month, the Schedule Trade Board page displays the posted schedule trade requests for that date and the calendar changes to the month of the selected day.
If you click a W where the first day of the week does not fall in the currently displayed month, the Schedule Trade Board page displays the posted schedule trade requests for the week and the calendar changes to the month with the first day of the selected week.
For each MU, supervisors define the schedule trade configuration that enables agents in the MUs to enter schedule trade requests using NICE WebStation. Supervisors define schedule trade rules agents must follow when entering schedule trade requests. If your MU cannot enter schedule trade requests, the schedule trade request pages are not available. For an overview on the Schedule Trades process, see Appendix B: Schedule Trade Requests Processing Details.
To view the trade rules for your MU, click Trade rules below the calendar on the Schedule Trade Board page.
Figure 32 Trade Rules Window
For each MU, supervisors can configure trade rules which govern:
If all agents in the MU and specific agents can trade schedules.
If agents can add comments to schedule trade requests.
If trades can occur between agents belonging to different MUs.
If trades between agents require agents have a specific agent data group value.
If agents can trade different length schedules, and how much the difference can be.
If multiple agents can accept the same trade.
If trades can be agent-specific (closed).
When agents can trade, and advance notice requirements.
The types of schedule trades allowed, including length of time traded, if agents can give away time, and skill matching requirements.
The total scheduled hours allowed for individual agents (as a result of trades).
The weekly scheduled hours allowed for individual agents (as a result of trades).
If agents can trade schedules that do not meet the MU minimum time between schedules.
If schedule trades require posting agent approval or not.
If schedule trades require supervisor approval or not.
The first line indicates the MU name for which the trade rules are in effect (your MU). The Trade Rules window lists all the trade rules a supervisor defined for your MU. If a supervisor configured your MU to allow trades with agents in other MUs, the Trade Rules window displays a note indicating that the trade rules for the other MUs also apply when trading schedules. The system uses these trade rules to validate trades you request and trades you accept from other agents.
Click Close to close the Trade Rules page.
Besides using the calendar to filter posted trades, as described in Calendar, you can use the DAILY, WEEKLY, and MONTHLY tabs at the top of the Schedule Trade Board page to filter trade requests. When you click one of these links, the system filters the trade request information to display trades for a specific day, week, or month. Clicking ALL displays all schedule trade requests.
The top of the Schedule Trade Board page displays the current date or date range for the posted trade requests you are viewing. The calendar has the day, week, or month you are currently viewing highlighted. If you are viewing all trade requests, the top of the Schedule Trade Board page displays Viewing trades for all dates and the calendar highlights all days.

Figure 33 Trade your schedule Confirmation Page
A trade record displays for each trade you selected on the Schedule Trade Board page. The Trade your schedule confirmation page displays:
AGENT INFORMATION
This column displays information about the agent who posted the schedule trade request:
Agent ID and name
The ID and name of the posting agent. This field only appears if a supervisor configured your MU to allow the trade board to display the posting agent’s name.
MU
The name of the posting agent’s MU. This field only appears if a supervisor configured your MU to allow trades across MUs.
<agent data group>
WHAT YOU’LL GET
This column displays the day of week, date, start time, and end time for the schedule you will receive in each trade (posted schedule).
PAID HOURS
This column displays the schedule length (work hours) for the schedule you will receive in each trade (posted schedule), in HH:MM format.
WHAT YOU’LL GIVE AWAY
This column displays your current schedule for the date (and time range) of the requested trades.
If the trade is for a full day, this column displays the start and end times of your current schedule.
If you do not have a schedule on the date of the requested trade, or the trade is a give-away trade, this column displays OFF.
If the trade is for a partial day, the trade is not a give-away trade, and your MU does not allow different length schedule trades, enter a start time in the WHAT YOU’LL GIVE AWAY column.
The start time you enter must fall between the earliest and latest start times specified by the agent who posted the trade request, and you must currently have a schedule at the specified time, which extends at least as far in the future as the length of the posted schedule. For example, if the posted schedule is 2 hours long, and the posting agent specified they would accept a start time range of 04:00 PM - 06:00 PM, you must have a schedule that extends at least 2 hours, beginning sometime between 04:00 PM and 06:00 PM. In this example, if your schedule ends at 06:00 PM, the only valid start time you could enter would be 04:00 PM. If your schedule ends at 05:00 PM, you would not be able to accept this trade.
If the trade is for a partial day, the trade is not a give-away trade, and your MU allows different length schedule trades, enter a start time and end time in the WHAT YOU’LL GIVE AWAY column.
PAID HOURS
This column displays the schedule length (work hours) for the schedule you will give away in each trade, in HH:MM format.
Click Cancel to cancel accepting the trades, or click Confirm to confirm the trades and submit the trades for acceptance. The system processes your schedule trade requests based on the schedule trade configuration a supervisor defined for your MU. This can include validating the trade requests against certain work rules (see Work Rule Validations). For more information on the WebStation schedule trade configuration and validation process, see Appendix B: Schedule Trade Requests Processing Details. The system displays the Trade your schedule results page as described in the next section.
Once you confirm the trades by clicking Confirm, the system displays the Trade your schedule results page indicating the status of each accepted trade.
When the status of an accepted trade request changes, you receive an alert in the Alerts section in NICE WebStation (see Alerts).
Figure 34 Trade your schedule Results Page
The Trade your schedule results page displays this information about each trade you accepted and confirmed:
AGENT INFORMATION
This column displays information about the agent who posted the schedule trade request:
Agent ID and name
The ID and name of the posting agent. This field only appears if a supervisor configured your MU to allow the trade board to display the posting agent’s name.
MU
The name of the posting agent’s MU. This field only appears if a supervisor configured your MU to allow trades across MUs.
<agent data group>
WHAT YOU’LL GET
This column displays the day of week, date, start time, end time, and schedule length for the schedule you will receive in each trade (which is the posting agent's schedule).
Note
If trading a partial day, this column displays only the hours the posting agent is trading (the hours you would receive). Be aware that if you already have hours scheduled for this day, the WHAT YOU’LL GET column does not include these hours, since they already existed and are not part of the hours (partial day) the posting agent is trading.
WHAT YOU’LL GIVE AWAY
This column displays the day of week, date, start time, end time, and schedule length for the schedule you will trade for the posted schedule. If you do not have a schedule on the date of the requested trade, or the trade is a give-away trade, this column displays OFF.
Status
This column displays the status of the schedule trade, in red text, based on the trade rules for your MU:
Approved
The trade does not need approval by the posting agent or a supervisor.
Pending posting agent approval
The agent who posted the trade must approve it.
Pending supervisor approval
A supervisor must approve the trade.
Failed validations
The trade failed validations and the schedule cannot be traded.
For any trade with a status of failed validations, the Trade your schedule results page displays a Reason field below the schedule trade. For example, Reason: Agents in MU 400 must have the same skills to trade schedules.
These links are available at the bottom of the Trade your schedule results page:
Click here to return to the trade board
Click this link to return to the Schedule Trade Board page (see View and Accept Posted Trades on the Schedule Trade Board Page).
Click here to return to the ScheduleViewer
Click this link to return to the My Schedule page (Weekly view) for the current week (see View or Modify Schedules on the My Schedule Page).
If a schedule trade requires supervisor approval, a supervisor needs to approve the schedule trade request before the system processes and completes the trade request. If the schedule trade does not require supervisor approval, the trade request is complete after you request and approve (if applicable) the trade, the accepting agent approves the trade, and the system processes it. Once a schedule trade request is complete, the system notifies each of the agents involved in the trade (see Schedule Trade Request Alerts).
Depending on how well a schedule trade request adheres to supervisor-established configuration settings, the schedule trade can pass or fail validation. It is important to understand that schedule trade requests can pass the initial validations and yet fail the final validations. In this case, the requests can show a status of approved, even though they fail to complete. When a request fails the validation process, its status changes to failed. For more information on the schedule trade configuration and validation process, see Appendix B: Schedule Trade Requests Processing Details.
The system validates your work rules after you initiate a closed (agent-specific) schedule trade on the Trade your schedule page or accept a posted trade request (open trade) on the Schedule Trade Board page. The system performs validations to enforce the work rules based on the schedule trade configuration a supervisor defined for each agent’s MU. The work rules include:
Availability
Maximum consecutive days to work
Maximum weekly hours
Minimum consecutive days to work
Minimum time between schedules
Minimum weekly hours
When you request a closed (agent-specific) schedule trade and submit the request or accept a posted trade request (open trade), the system validates any work rules configured for each agent’s MU to enforce. If any work rule validation errors occur on your schedule because of the trades, the system does not save these trades. In this case, the system displays an error for the failed work rule validations on the Trade your schedule results page (see Trade your Schedule Results Page).
Schedule trades can also appear as invalid on the Schedule Trade Board page for failed work rule validations. Click the invalid trade icon in the first column to see why a trade is invalid. For more information on invalid trades, see Select a Trade or Invalid Trades.
To print or print preview the portion of the schedule trade request data you see on the Schedule Trade Board page, select File > Print or File > Print Preview.
Selecting Print Preview displays the schedule trade request data in the print preview window.
Selecting Print displays the standard Windows Print dialog. In the Print dialog, select the print properties and print the schedule trade request data.
